Australian Industry Group has congratulated Premier Peter Malinauskas for winning a second term of government, and we look forward to continuing constructive engagement on the policy settings that matter most to employers. Skills availability, productivity growth, energy reliability and business costs will remain central priorities for industry as South Australia seeks to attract investment, support job creation and strengthen its economic resilience in the term ahead.

There is still some uncertainty, with full election results unlikely to be known for a couple of weeks.
Our Advisory Council saw some impressive robotics at the new and upgraded facilities of Philmac on Monday. The factory upgrade, in Adelaide, supports increased capacity, improved efficiency and long‑term local production through the application of advanced manufacturing technology.

We were especially impressed with the automatic warehousing system, which uses a Knapp 2D system with robot shuttles moving freely and intuitively around the warehouse. Thanks to our SA State President, Mark Nykiel, and his team for hosting us. Philmac is part of the Aliaxis group, of which Mark (in main photo with Estha, Peter Malinauskas and Australian Industry Grouup Chief Executive Innes Willox) is CEO Asia Pacific.
In an increasingly uncertain global environment, timely and accurate business intelligence has never been more important. Recent international tensions affecting fuel supply chains have highlighted how quickly global events can flow through to costs, availability and operational risk for Australian businesses. Our Australian Industry Indicator survey is a critical tool for capturing real‑time insights from employers on conditions on the ground — from input costs and confidence to workforce and investment intentions. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey, as your input directly strengthens our advocacy and ensures industry perspectives are reflected in discussions with government and decision‑makers.
We're also holding a free webinar next Tuesday, 31 March, about how fuel supply disruption linked to the conflict is affecting Australian businesses and their broader supply chains.

Drawing on real-time Australian Industry Group member intelligence and our direct engagement with governments, the online event will unpack what the current fuel and petrochemical disruptions mean for supply chains, workforce mobility and business continuity and what you can do now to manage risk, costs and uncertainty as conditions continue to evolve. Until next time,
