On 27 August 2025, the Australian Industry Group lodged a submission in response to consultations on changes to South Australia’s Labour Hire Licensing scheme.

The submission responds to:

• South Australian Government plans to ‘broaden and strengthen SA’s labour hire licensing laws’. 

• Proposed amendments to the Labour Hire Licensing Act 2017(SA) that would extend the state’s labour hire licensing scheme beyond its current application to horticulture processing, meat processing, seafood processing, cleaning, and trolley collection, to apply to ‘all labour hire firms and workers’.
