Futuremap® for Manufacturing is a structured business diagnostic and capability‑mapping course designed specifically to support Australian manufacturing and advanced manufacturing SMEs as they navigate ongoing industry transformation. In a post‑COVID operating environment, manufacturers face increasing pressure from digitisation, new business models, regulatory sustainability reporting, skills shortages, energy costs, supply chain disruption and rising transport and logistics expenses.
This course supports manufacturing business owners and senior leaders to assess their organisation’s current maturity and future readiness across critical capability areas, including digitisation, Industry 5.0, adaption, servitisation, sustainability, global supply chains, market opportunities, innovation, and leadership, strategy and change management. Participants are guided through a point‑in‑time self‑assessment that compares where their business is today with where it aspires to be over the next two years, providing a clear and practical view of capability gaps and development priorities.
Futuremap® challenges manufacturing businesses to re‑think traditional processes, operating models and workforce structures, encouraging honest reflection on competitiveness, productivity and resilience. The assessment process highlights where targeted investment, workforce reskilling or external support may be required to support sustainable growth and future‑proof operations in a rapidly changing manufacturing landscape.
Participants receive an individual Futuremap® report summarising their results and areas of focus, along with access to relevant educational resources and a broader ecosystem of government programs and industry support organisations aligned to the advanced manufacturing sector. All information remains confidential, with any broader analysis undertaken only in aggregated, de‑identified form to identify sector‑wide capability development needs.
