WR conference a hit
Thanks to everyone who joined us at our workplace relations conference in Brisbane last week.
The feedback was great, and many of you told me you deeply valued the insights from our experts at Australian Industry Group and key regulators.
A highlight was a panel discussion with employers, led by our Queensland legal lead, Lara Radik.
Speaking to Lara about the complexity of sweeping regulatory change were:

Further WR sessions will be held in regional centres throughout the year.
Don’t hesitate to reach out to Lara Radik with any immediate concerns.
Yesterday, I spoke with ABC Radio’s Ellen Fanning about the workforce shortages confronting Queensland.
I’m continuing to work closely with the Queensland Government to advocate for more targeted investment in training, particularly for construction and care workers.
These shortages directly affect housing delivery and the sustainability of the care sector and remain a critical priority for our members.
Are you a senior executive actively exploring artificial intelligence platforms or applications?
I’m bringing together a group of leaders interested in sharing practical experiences with AI — what’s working, what isn’t and how to support effective change management across organisations.
The focus will be on real outcomes, fast learning and honest conversations.
If this resonates, send me an email.
While we’re on the subject, don’t forget to register for our FREE AI session we’re hosting with Griffith University on Thursday, 26 March.
You’ll hear from trailblazing execs rolling out AI with stunning impacts.
The following week, I’ll be discussing procurement opportunities with Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Organising Committee Director of Procurement Robert McRuvie at an Australian Industry Group webinar on Tuesday, 31 March.
I’ve been closely engaged in shaping the new Queensland Government Procurement Policy and look forward to talking to Robert and sharing upcoming procurement opportunities with you. Register here.
Finally, it’s not too late to complete our annual Member Survey, which gives you an opportunity to share feedback on your Australian Industry Group membership. Your responses will help us understand the services you value.
Enjoy the rest of your week and, as ever, contact me for assistance, advice or just a chat.
