The Department of Employment and Workplace Relations has sought feedback on the proposed National Construction Industry Forum (NCIF) Draft Joint Construction Industry Charter (Charter).

Australian Industry Group supports the intention of the Charter as a voluntary and unifying framework that will evolve over time in response to the industry’s needs. As drafted however the Charter is confusing and lacking in sufficiently appropriate or meaningful detail. On this basis, we have constructively identified areas that could be improved.
