A redundancy process might involve some positions becoming redundant, but some positions remaining – for example where the number of positions will be reduced due to downsizing. In these situations, the employer may need to select the employee(s) for redundancy from a pool of employees who all perform the same or similar role. This matrix will assist in selecting the employee(s) for redundancy.
