On 29 October 2025, the Victorian Government introduced the Restricting Non-Disclosure Agreements (Sexual Harassment at Work) Bill 2025 to Parliament.

The Bill seeks to limit the use of non-disclosure agreements in the settlement of workplace sexual harassment claims.

This proposed limitation of non-disclosure agreements is the first of its kind in Australia.

If passed, the limitations will apply from 1 November 2026 unless proclaimed earlier.
