On 15 May 2026, Australian Industry Group filed a supplementary submission in the Fair Work Commission’s Annual Wage Review. We submitted that the national minimum wage and modern award minimum wages should not be increased by more than 3.9% and that the union movement's claim for 6% is reckless and irresponsible. The submission points to various moderating factors relevant to this year's AWR, including matters arising from the Federal Budget, as well as the challenging and uncertain economic times ahead.
