On 24 August 2026, Australian Industry Group filed a reply submission in response to the draft road transport contractual chain order (RTCCO) pursued by the Transport Workers’ Union (TWU) as filed on 13 February 2026.
The RTCCO proposed by the TWU is not appropriate or workable. It is opposed by Australian Industry Group on that basis. Adopting it would impose a range of new impracticable and inappropriate obligations, and have a raft of unintended but serious consequences for those covering it.
