WHS Learning Modules
This course includes four videos with a quiz at the end of each module that cover various aspects of WHS, including:
Module 1: WHS Management Systems – A Principles‑Based Approach.
This Module introduces the principles‑based approach to Work Health and Safety Management Systems, exploring policies, procedures, duty of care, and risk management. Learners will understand legal obligations, practical risk control, and how effective WHSMS frameworks support compliance, safer outcomes, and strong organisational safety culture.

Module 2: Psychosocial Risk Management - A Proactive Approach.
Module 2 provides a practical understanding of how to identify, assess, control and monitor psychosocial hazards in the workplace. It explains the legislative foundations, the nature of psychosocial harm, and the steps required to implement a systematic and compliant psychosocial risk management approach. Also, it highlights the importance of consultation, communication, and holistic wellbeing programs as part of a proactive WHS strategy.

Module 3: Hazards and Controls - A Compliance Approach.
This module introduces how to identify, assess, and control common and high‑risk hazards. It covers key risks such as mobile plant, traffic, heights, confined spaces, electrical work, chemicals, manual handling, PPE, housekeeping, and first aid. Learners gain practical steps to strengthen WHS systems and create safer, compliant workplaces.

By the end of this module, learners will be able to:
- Identify common and high‑risk hazards including mobile plant, traffic, heights, confined spaces, electrical work, chemicals, and manual handling.
- Apply a risk assessment process to determine the nature and level of risk associated with each hazard.
- Select effective risk controls using the hierarchy of control to eliminate or minimise hazards.
- Recognise the role of PPE, housekeeping, signage, and first aid requirements in maintaining a safe workplace.
- Implement practical steps to strengthen hazard management processes and ensure compliance with WHS requirements.

Module 4: Continuous Improvement - A Practical Approach.
This module covers how continuous improvement strengthens workplace health and safety. It covers practical approaches to pre‑start checks, workplace inspections, health monitoring, and emergency response planning—showing how each activity feeds into the monitor‑and‑review cycle required under WHS laws to create safer, smarter workplaces.
