
Manufacturers in Victoria are being encouraged to apply for State Government grants of up to $5000 per employee to boost workers’ digital skills.
The Digital Jobs for Manufacturing program enables manufacturing employees to enrol in a free 12-week course with the state’s top universities, TAFEs and training providers.
Minister for Industry and Innovation Ben Carroll said the program enabled businesses to access targeted training for their staff in areas including:
Businesses can receive funding for up to five employees.
Since launching in October last year, the $4.5million program has awarded nearly $775,000 in funding to 109 Victorian manufacturers.
Applications close on March 31 next year unless funds are allocated earlier.
