On 29 October 2025, the Victorian Government introduced the Restricting Non-Disclosure Agreements (Sexual Harassment at Work) Bill 2025 to Parliament.

The Bill passed Parliament on 20 November 2025, with minor amendments and received Royal Assent on 2 December 2025. This limitation of NDAs is the first of its kind in Australia.

By proclamation issued on 16 June 2026, the limitations apply from 1 July 2026.
