On 16 June 2025, Ai Group filed submissions pursuant to Statement [2025] FWC 1506, issued 2 June 2025. The Statement invites parties to provide submissions as to whether the Fair Work Commission should consider deferring consideration of the application to include an exemption rate clause in the General Retail Industry Award 2020 in the light of the letter dated 29 May 2025 from the Hon. Amanda Rishworth, Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations to the President of the Commission advising of the Government's intention to legislation with respect to penalty rates in modern awards.
