On 1 April 2026, Australian Industry Group filed preliminary submissions in relation to the applications by the Transport Workers' Union – NSW Branch to vary the Transport Industry – General Carriers’ Contract Determination, and to rescind the Transport Industry – Courier and Taxi Truck Contract Determination (together, the Applications).

The submission contends that the NSW Industrial Relations Commission is compelled to dismiss or adjourn the applications pending conclusion of the applications filed by the Transport Workers' Union federally for Minimum Standards Orders, or alternatively that it would be reasonable and appropriate for the Applications to be adjourned for reasons of fairness and industrial merit.
