On 24 July 2026, Australian Industry Group filed a further submission in Fair Work Commission proceedings concerning junior rates, as contained in the Fast Food Industry Award 2020. The submission opposes various contentions advanced by the Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees' Association in relation to the proposed transitional arrangements that should apply to the implementation of the Commission's decision to abolish junior rates for employees aged 18 and over.
